The commune of Hillesheim is a little place located in the middle of Hügelland in Rheinhessen. It was already known under the Roman Empire in the year 50 a.C. with the name of "aspera villa". You can see our symbol in the distance: the 12th. century barrage church. It is placed on the "Kirchberg" below which all ca. 650 settled. |

Another symbol in Hillesheim is the naturally well tubes whose wellspring gives water rich in minerals from three tubes. They are supplied with two big meres. Thanks to the by-pass surrounding the village it is very calm there. It has become one of the most beautiful sites within our district. |
